About Me

Director, filmmaker and animator, Victoria Vaughn, grew up in Durham, NC, her head brimming with stories of fantasy worlds and longing to make her own. She honed her craft at NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she studied under the mentorship of Academy Award-winning animator John Canemaker. Her first short "The Magnifying Glass" screened at several festivals, including the Woman's Independent Film Festival, where it took home awards for "Best Animated Short", "Best Direction for Animation", and "Best Visuals". After graduating, Victoria worked as a video production specialist for HAEFELY HIPOTRONICS traveling throughout the U.S. and Switzerland with her camera documenting high voltage test equipment. Victoria now works for Atom Factory creating an assortment of video content for their artists and online publication Smashd. Her latest short film "The Fairies' Child" has been warmly received at Film Quest, Dragon Con, and won the Audience Favorite Award at the Vermont International Film Festival this year.
